Under the Yuck-Yuck Tree

Matthew McConaughey had the presence of mind to save the placenta from the birth of his son Wrangler (no, Levi) and is now planning to plant it in his orchard. "It's going to be in the orchards and it's going to bear some wonderful fruit," McConaughey asserts. "When I was in Australia, they had a placenta tree that was on the river ... and all the placentas of all that tribe, all that clan, whatever aboriginal tribe that was, all the placentas went under that one tree and it was this huge behemoth of just health and strength. This tree was just growing taller and stronger above the rest of Mother Nature around it. It was gorgeous." It's called fertilization. It's a concept that's been understood by cultures for thousands of years (though not the Pilgrims who would've starved had the Indians not taught them to bury fish in the ground where they were trying to plant). Matthew probably thinks there's something mystical about the whole thing - you know, like surfing and bongo playing. At least he's not planning on eating it like Tom Cruise ate Suri's.
