The wreckage of vanished aviator Steve Fossett's last ride, a single-engine Citabria Super Decathlon, has been found in the mountains of California. Investigators homed in on the wreck's location after a hiker found some of Fossett's IDs and cash in a bush just west of Mammoth Lakes. Fossett, an acclaimed adventurer and rich guy, went missing over a year ago after taking off from a small Nevada air-strip on what was described as a short recreational jaunt. Folks searched high and low for signs of him but no trace was found and he was declared legally dead. Since then, lots of theories have cropped up stating Fossett faked his death and disappeared to Bolivia or Nepal or some other far-flung place where he could live out his days under an assumed identity. These people have clearly watched too many daytime soap operas. No remains have yet been discovered at the crash site by the way. Bear got him for sure. That's what's known as a free meal in the bear community.
