David Copperfield is fighting back against a former Miss Washington USA contestant's wacky charges that he lured her to his private island in the Bahamas, sexually assaulted her and threatened to kill her.The unnamed woman's recently-filed suit claims she met Copperfield at one of his shows, at which time he "invited" her to his island. The woman says that she showed up at the island expecting a party, but discovered to her dismay that Copperfield was the only one there.
The magician then allegedly proceeded to perv on the woman, and when she didn't simply melt into his arms, he got mad and said he would snuff her.
Copperfield has shot back, claiming the woman's suit is an attempt at extortion, and claiming "there were more than 20 women and men on the island during her visit."
I know nothing more about this case than what Copperfield and the woman have said, and based on this, I am siding with the woman. Why? Because Copperfield is a creepy motherfucker, and I absolutely believe he would do what is being alleged. In fact, I bet he would do worse. I bet he would have killed that woman had he gotten the chance, and fed her body to his pet alligators.
