Variety reports that Lindsay Lohan has landed a role in a movie called Labor Pains, which will cast her as an assistant at a publishing house who tries to keep her nasty boss from firing her by pretending to be pregnant (Devil Wears Prada rip-off?).
"It is a very different role for me and I look forward to the challenges it will present, and I love working on comedies," Lindsay said of her new part.
The usual happy-talk is coming out of the studio brass about Lindsay's participation. "I didn't know Lindsay before this, but we looked each other in the eye three months ago, and she has done everything I could have asked," said producer Rick Schwartz.
Sure Rick...she's fine now because she's desperate. But wait until she's actually working on the movie and gets bored and has to have a night out. And then you can't find her.
Being a real movie star takes self-discipline, something Lohan utterly lacks. And by the way, that doesn't mean not partying. Colin Farrell allegedly stays out until three in the morning drinking and whoring on his shoots, but he always shows up to work no matter how early the call, always knows his lines and never gives his directors any shit. Lohan is Irish like him...she should be able to follow his example.
