Ed McMahon, long-time Johnny Carson sidekick and face of the Publisher's Clearing House Sweepstakes, has died at age 85. McMahon had been sick with pneumonia and other problems since February, so, it was merciful that he finally went. And at least he died in a semi-dignified fashion; no breaking his head on a ski-hill or any of that shit. God, what would he have been doing on a ski-hill at his age? That would've been suicidal.
