Ahmadinejad is off on his Holocaust-denial kick again. He told a bunch of students at Tehran University that the whole thing was made up to justify Israel's existence. He'd have a lot easier time making this case if it weren't for all those records the Nazis kept. Freaking Nazis and their freaking thoroughness.
I don't know how much the younger folks in Iran are buying old Mahmoud's spiel. Things are different there now. The new generation isn't quite as willing to swallow the crap its old school hardliners want to shovel down its throat. It's mostly the old, poor, rural folks who listen to Ahmadinejad and his rhetoric.
Reminds me of America a little bit. The right-wing nutters tend to be old and rural here too. And they also hate Hebrews. Ahmadinejad would probably do well in a place like Kansas. He could rail against evolution and throw out conspiracy theories about the Jews being behind 9/11. He'd be huge.
