Drew Barrymore has directed a movie called Whip It, starring that cute little Ellen Page chick from Juno. Despite the title, the movie is not about Devo. It is about roller derby.Specifically, it is about a misfit little shrimpy possible lesbo - played by Page of course - who finds acceptance among sweaty tattooed social failures...on roller skates.
Sounds like a recipe for heartwarming fun, I guess. I personally would've preferred a movie about Devo. As long as there are no sonogram-centered phony female bonding scenes, I'll be okay with it.
