George Clooney is willing to stick to his guns artistically and politically and I have to give him props for that. I mean, a lot of actors would look at the box-office receipts for Iraq-war/anti-terrorism movies and stay away from that shit like it was Kryptonite, but not George. He's willing to stick his neck out...hence his purchase of the rights to The Challenge, a book about a man who is currently rotting in Guantanamo Bay for the crime of being Osama Bin Laden's driver. A little man is swallowed up by the big bad American imperialist machine but keeps on swinging away with the help of a Navy lawyer who loses his job and marriage over his moral stand. George will be playing the Navy lawyer probably. I smell another Oscar nomination. And another flop like Lions for Lambs, Rendition, The Valley of Elah (which I thought was fantastic so fuck all y'all) and Stop Loss (which sucked the fat one).
