Scientists are moving closer to developing a cloak that would render the wearer invisible. This seemingly impossible thing is accomplished by coating the cloak in materials that deflect light around it and whoever is in it. Of course the military is all over this...but if we've learned anything from history it's that regular people will eventually get their hands on the stuff and then what? Like we don't have enough to worry about...soon we'll have criminals going around mugging and raping and killing and we'll never see them coming. We'll never have a chance to whip out our pepper spray or our tasers or prepare ourselves for a last-ditch groin-kick. Thanks scientists. No really...you sure are making the world a better place (for evil masterminds).
