He's On A Plane, Train Or Automobile To Heaven

John Hughes, the director responsible for most of our memories of the '80s, has kicked the bucket at 59. Not sure what was wrong with him, but whatever it was, it got him.

Reading Hughes' filmography is like reading the overnight schedule for the all-'80s movie channel of our dreams:

Uncle Buck
She's Having a Baby
Planes, Trains & Automobiles
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Weird Science
The Breakfast Club
Sixteen Candles

And that was just the shit he directed. He also produced such gems as Home Alone, Pretty in Pink, The Great Outdoors and Some Kind of Wonderful. Basically, if a movie was made in the '80s and starred either Molly Ringwald or John Candy, Hughes had something to do with it.

And he gave the world Anthony Michael Hall. Well shit man, he deserved to die just for that. Kidding.
