Beyonce is about the hottest thing in show-biz right now (notwithstanding her lousy performance in Dreamgirls). She's so hot, in fact, that she can do pretty much anything she wants. And, if we've learned anything from observing celebland, when stars get to the point where they have free rein, they almost always take advantage of it by being total shitburgers.
It must be in the celebrity DNA - this thing where, when your career reaches a certain point, you feel like you can crap on people's heads if you want to. And Beyonce is no exception. Just ask the back-up dancers hired for her new tour. According to Page 6, Beyonce's dancers, who are far from well-to-do, have been informed that they will have to pay their own way to get from New York to L.A. for rehearsals. And furthermore, the dancers have been told that if they complain about it, they'll be fired.
So that's how Beyonce rolls - she makes her broke back-up dancers buy their own plane tickets, then has their agents tell them that they're not allowed to raise any kind of a stink about it. And of course the dancers have no choice but to go along - being on Beyonce's tour is too great an opportunity for them to risk getting canned. And why are Beyonce and her people doing this anyway? Are they really that cheap? Or do they just not give a shit? And how high in the air is Beyonce's nose at this point? My God, I am rooting so hard for Jennifer Hudson to win the supporting actress Oscar. And I hope the cameras go to Beyonce if she does. How priceless will it be, the look on Beyonce's stupid face as she struggles to hold in the anger? If there's a God, Beyonce won't be able to hold it in, and she'll rush the stage and grab the Oscar away from Hudson and try to make a break for it. And security will tackle her, and while they're wrestling her to the ground her wig will come off and her boobs will deflate. And her dumb-ass father will run up there and get tasered. And then Jennifer will come over and dance a jig.
