Jessica Simpson no longer has a singing career to speak of - unless flubbing Dolly Parton songs at the Kennedy Center Honors constitutes a career - and now it looks like the movie side has gone off the rails too. According to the Daily News's Ben Widdicombe, Jessica's new flick, Blonde Ambition, is a total disaster - so bad that Jess's father/manager Joe has had the release date pushed back from August 3 to the end of August to avoid competition. Reportedly, much of the movie's problems stem from Jessica's behavior on the set. Said a source:
Jessica was not very focused on-set and flubbed her lines often. She always had her dog around, was on the phone with [then-] boyfriend John Mayer or was sitting in a warmed-up SUV.
Jessica Simpson acting like an undisciplined, unprofessional little twit? Why am I not shocked? That movie of hers is going to end up a direct-to-DVD release before it's over. Or maybe not even that. A Spike TV release. Public access. Jess will just end up performing scenes from it on street-corners while people stuff dollar bills into her g-string. And Papa Joe will be there with a video camera and a drool-cloth.
