Anna Nicole Smith has died. According to accounts from the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, at around 2pm Eastern Time Thursday, Smith was found in her room, unresponsive. Paramedics arrived shortly afterward and performed CPR on Smith, and inserted a tube in her throat before whisking her away in an ambulance. Her attorney Ron Rale confirmed that she has passed away.
Anna Nicole's recent life has been little more than a series of legal problems. Last year, while in the Bahamas giving birth, her son Daniel died mysteriously, leading to an inquest. Soon afterward she became embroiled in a paternity battle over her child Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern, which involved her lawyer Howard K. Stern and her ex-boyfriend Larry Birkhead. Recently, DNA tests were ordered by a judge in order to establish the identity of the child's father. And, just a few days ago, Smith was sued, along with her corporate partner Trimspa, by people claiming Smith and the company employed deceptive business practices in selling the weight-loss supplement.
Now all her troubles are over. God speed, Anna Nicole.
