Various news outlets have reported that Paris Hilton was transferred directly from the courthouse to the Twin Towers correctional facility in L.A., where she will spend the weekend in a medical ward before being taken back to Lynwood to serve out the remainder of her sentence. However, X17 is reporting exclusively that Paris was in fact taken from the courthouse to Lynwood today - and that she was moved to Twin Towers only after becoming hysterical while being booked.
Whatever the case, it would appear that Hilton is on the verge of complete emotional collapse. Fox's Greta Van Susteren reported today that Paris was "shaking, quivering and twitching" in court, and numerous others have said she had to be "physically escorted" from the courtroom, and was screaming for her mother. This sounds for all the world like the behavior of someone who has never in her life experienced punishment, and is completely losing it now that she has been forced to face the consequences of her thoughtless and selfish actions. Has Paris been so sheltered from the true facts of life that she will be unable to endure this head-on collision with reality, and wind up in some kind of psychiatric facility? I personally never would've guessed this - I always thought Paris was immature, but that she had an essential core of stubborn toughness that would allow her to endure such unpleasantness. I see now that I over-estimated her - she really is as much an infantile brat as she seems, and utterly devoid of any character or fortitude. Without her support system keeping reality at bay, she is utterly lost.
Too bad for Paris, being saddled with parents like Kathy and Rick, who preferred to pamper and spoil her rather than prepare her for dealing with life. Shame on them for the sad mess their daughter's life has become. And shame on them for trying to scam her out of it by employing this hack psychiatrist and calling in their political connections. What they should do is let her take it - then maybe she would develop some of the personal character she so sorely lacks. But no - Rick and Kathy would rather try to help her dodge reality once again, further exacerbating her sense of entitlement and irresponsibility. Do these people not possess even a shred of a clue?
