Was Paris Hilton let out of jail because the medical staff feared she was suicidal?
New details have emerged as to what actually went on inside the Century Regional Detention Facility during Paris's three-day stay. Reportedly, Paris was crying almost non-stop, and refused to eat because she was so scared of being attacked. A doctor was sent to check on her regularly, and the medical staff at the jail eventually began to fear that Paris might actually try to harm herself.
Others who've served time in that facility aren't buying it however. Said one:
This is an outrage. Paris has only been let out because she’s a little rich white girl. When the rest of us cry or say we’re depressed we’re ignored.
And another:
You have to be dying to get transferred out of here. It’s wrong.
A hearing is scheduled for 9 am PDT this morning, at which the Sheriff's Department will have to explain why Paris was released to home detention against judge Michael Sauer's explicit orders. What exactly the medical staff were thinking should, I presume, come out at this hearing. And Paris has been ordered to be there too. If she looks anything other than haggard and run-down, it will not reflect well on the competence or integrity of the Century Regional Detention Facility medical staff, Paris's own psychiatrist and Sheriff Lee Baca.
