Dina Lohan Hates Her Children

We knew Dina Lohan was an evil, publicity-grubbing monster before, but only now do we realize the full extent of her vileness.

This woman, who has already ruined the life of her daughter Lindsay by exposing her to the bright lights of Hollywood without bothering to teach her a single useful coping skill, is reportedly in talks with E! to launch a reality series, which would feature her efforts to break remaining children Ali (14) and Cody (11) into show-biz. Apparently Dina has not learned a single thing from the wreck Lindsay's life has become - except that she enjoys having famous children she can leech off of.

This new endeavor of Dina's promises to be even more excruciatingly painful than Lindsay's very public downfall. Because, for all of Lindsay's foolishness, at least she does have talent. She is worthy of whatever fame has come her way through her legitimate efforts (the rest of it, the contrivance her public life has become, is merely nonsense). Ali and Cody, however, probably are not as talented as Lindsay - the odds would seem to be against it at least. For every Michael there has to be a Tito and a Jermaine and a LaToya. Of course, there's also a Janet - but can we really bank on Ali turning out even that well? More likely, neither Ali nor Cody will have any genuine ability, rendering their efforts farcical and humiliating in an American Idol audition sort of way - not that this matters one jot to Dina, who is only interested in squeezing what she can out of them, before sending them off to rehab, and then jail and the morgue (and all it costs her is the price of a black dress).

One thing becomes obvious about Dina - she is utterly and completely divorced from anything the rest of us might call reality. She is incapable of making the connection between Lindsay's lack of genuine formative experiences and the total debacle the girl's life has become. Lindsay was thrust at a young age into a situation she lacked the maturity to handle - and without someone really responsible to guide her through those pitfalls, she has failed to develop any maturity, and has only become a clone of her lying, manipulating, denial-spewing mother. These women do nothing but spout excuses, blaming everyone but themselves for their troubles. Indeed, neither one of them seems very developed emotionally - they both survive on guile and ruthlessness and pure neurotic energy. To Dina, it probably makes perfect sense to exploit her other children the same way she did Lindsay. Why not? Are they not her children? Did not she bear them so they might serve as vehicles for her to realize the dreams she herself lacked the talent or looks or luck to achieve? What a beast this woman is, living vicariously through these youngsters who love and trust her. One can only hope that, one day, Ali or Cody - or perhaps even Lindsay, if she manages to survive the next six months - will finally see this Gorgon for what she is, and dispatch her to the afterlife without hesitation. Assuming, that is, that a creature as hideous as Dina can even be killed.
