Johnny Depp provided probably the coolest moment at last night's MTV Movie Awards, when he unexpectedly came out on-stage to accept his award for Best Performance (for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest). The crowd really cheered him too. Because they love him, and with good reason - he's a true performer who uses his talent to bring happiness and fun into people's lives. Unlike that piece of shit Paris Hilton who has nothing whatsoever to offer. The gulf between the reactions those two got from the crowd last night pretty much sums up the difference between earned celebrity and the fake kind people like Hilton possess.

Depp seems genuinely humble too, another reason people like him. And, when a survey was done recently of which actors were friendliest about giving out autographs? Depp finished at the top (for the record Cameron Diaz came in last). If all celebs were like Johnny Depp - genuinely grateful for what they've been given, and modest and above-all real - then I imagine bloggers like me wouldn't exist. And that would be just fine.
(Johnny needs to work on his wardrobe though. I mean, a flannel shirt tied around the waist? And what was that, a monocle? Dude looked like a walking flea market.)
