Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may have hit a rocky patch in their previously blissful relationship. The Daily Mail reports that the messianic couple has been fighting a lot lately, mostly because Angie is sick of Brad working so much. Things came to a head recently when Brad cancelled a planned family trip to Lake Mohawk, N.J. over work commitments - Angie is reported to have had a fit, and put a sign up in the kitchen that said, "Success is a beast, it puts the emphasis on the wrong thing. I prefer to look within."
Angie - I'd be careful about looking within too much. Most humans can't endure being faced with so much horror and blackness.
It's obvious what's going on here, isn't it? Brad is trying to escape this controlling freak by burying himself in his work. This upsets Angie because she expects Brad to always do what he tells her. Angie doesn't get her way, and starts in with the high-minded lecturing bullshit about how success puts the emphasis in the wrong place and she's all about what's within. Of course, Angie isn't about success - she's too deep and spiritually connected for that. That's why every time she claims she's taking time off for the kids, it's announced about five minutes later that she's signed for another movie, or another mission to some godforsaken corner of the earth, or some big ad campaign. Yeah Angie - you're just turning down lucrative opportunities left and right. That's why you and the kids never get to settle down in one place for more than three days before you're carting them off to some movie shoot - and expecting Brad to put his life on hold for your endeavors too. You'd think that, with all this "looking within" you're always doing, you'd have realized by now what a duplicitous charlatan you are. But I guess you conveniently ignore those places.
