The general consensus among Hollywood types is that trainwreck Lindsay Lohan is finished as a movie actress. Her legal troubles and bratty on-set behavior, coupled with the poor performance of her last couple starring vehicles, have made her no longer worth the risk, derailing a career which just a few years ago seemed full of promise. Said an unnamed Hollywood studio head to Entertainment Weekly:
She had the world at her feet. And right now, she'd have to pay a studio to get herself into a movie.
These are not the words of a film critic or gossip maven - this is straight from the horse's mouth. The same studio chief had this to say about the media's perception of Lohan:
Her career was over long before she had these troubles. The media treat her like she's Will Smith or Tom Cruise, like she's some big star, but she simply isn't.
And other Hollywood execs concur - Lohan's career as an actress in big-ticket fare has come to an end. Said another studio big-wig:
Her troubles are what made her famous. Her films don't open. She's a pain to work with. I think she's done.
Poor Lindsay - there's nothing left for her now but porn. Or perhaps a sitcom on NBC. They're so desperate for a hit, they'll hire almost anyone.
