That report from Fox's Roger Friedman the other day about Michael Jackson ditching Vegas for Virginia was apparently not entirely accurate. No, it's not Virginia Michael is fleeing to - it's Maryland. St. Michaels, Maryland to be precise. A small town across the Chesapeake from Annapolis whose major distinction is that vice-president Dick Cheney has a house there. But why would Michael choose this place to take up residence? Apparently, Michael is attracted to that locale because of the no-fly zone - which was installed because of Mr. Cheney's presence. A no-fly zone means no choppers buzzing your house - ideal for a celeb who wants to avoid undue attention from paps. And guess what? Michael's not the only famous person trying to score a mansion in Mr. Cheney's protected vicinity. Reportedly, media-shy celebs Julia Roberts and Oprah Winfrey have also inquired about nabbing property in the area. Yeah I know - these people all hate Dick Cheney's guts; but they're more-than-willing to move in next-door to him if it means greater privacy. I hope they remember to bring Dick over a gift-basket (without any meat products of course - wouldn't want to send Dick's dodgy ticker over the edge).
