Nutty celebra-couple Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are set to marry next month at fellow-actor George Clooney's Italian villa, according to local reports.The ceremony will reportedly be a civil service performed by the local mayor, with Scientologist and Catholic ceremonies presumably coming at later dates.
There had been some scuttlebutt about Katie's parents skipping out on any service that didn't involve Catholic rites, so one imagines this whole "civil ceremony first" plan is just a way to placate them.
I would make a joke now about Martians attending the ceremony or the mothership being rented out for the reception, but frankly I used all that material up and I can't think of any more.
Update: New reports say the ceremony may not be taking place at Clooney's villa after all. Whatever.
