Update: Jay-Z Not Dead In Plane Crash

Rapper Jay-Z may have died this morning in a plane crash, according to TMZ. The TMZ folks were able to confirm with the FAA that a small four-seat prop aircraft did crash this morning near Asheville, NC, but rumors that Jay-Z was on the plane have not yet been substantiated. Jay-Z's people have reportedly not commented thus far. Jay-Z's girlfriend Beyonce, as far as I know, is still on-tour, and therefore would not have also been on the plane.

Update: The Asheville Citizen-Times reports that three people have died in the plane crash reported by TMZ, but has not confirmed the identities of any of the people on-board. The plane, a Cessna, was apparently in-bound from Dublin, GA when air traffic control lost contact. Media members have been kept away from the crash site, which is in a densely-wooded area.

Update 2: The three people who died in the plane crash were all white, according to TMZ. So unless Jay-Z became white just before the crash, he isn't dead.
