McConaughey To Don The Stache?

Fans of early '80s TV have been asking the question for years - when, oh when, will we get a Magnum P.I. movie? And who - oh who - will be playing everybody's favorite mustachioed, Hawaiian-shirted crime-fighter/ladykiller? Well kids, it looks like we may be getting closer to having those questions answered. According to the rumor-mill, a Magnum flick is indeed on it's way - there's already a script and everything - and, in the most rocking news of all, no less a personage than Matthew McConaughey has been tabbed to star as the title character.

Crabbie could not be more over-the-rainbow with giddiness at this news. First of all, I love me some Magnum. That along with Dallas was prime viewing for me back in the '80s (on those occasions when I was actually lucid enough to watch television). Tom Selleck - what a hunk of man. Watching him every week, bantering with that prick Higgins, flying around in the chopper with T.C. They just don't make 'em like that anymore. And then, on top of it, Matthew McConaughey, the hottest, sweatiest Yeti-man on the face of the earth! As Magnum! Damn. I hope my paliptations don't get out of control and kill me before this movie hits theaters.
