Diddy Denial

Well, it took Sean Combs all of one day to deny the allegations leveled against him in the lawsuit by Gerard Rechnitzer, who claims Combs punched him in the jaw at a post-Oscar party. Here's the statement by Combs's lawyer Benjamin Brafman:

Mr. Combs did not hit anyone and Mr. Rechnitzer suffered no injuries or damages whatsoever. This case is completely baseless. It is just another example of an opportunist seeking to fabricate a lawsuit based on a flat-out lie.

Hmm, an interesting statement from Brafman, given that there were reportedly witnesses, including Rechnitzer's girlfriend and a second female Combs allegedly spit at. Apparently Brafman expects us to believe Combs is innocent just cause he says so. Of course, there's always a chance the allegations are false, and the whole thing has been cooked up against Diddy just to get some money out of him. But does anyone really think Diddy didn't do it? I mean, the man is clearly a first-class dirtbag. Everything Rechnitzer alleges in his suit fits Combs to a tee, especially that preposterous "I'll smack flames out of your ass" line. I mean, who talks like that? Even Steven Seagal thinks that sounds stupid.
