Paris Hilton Puts On A Brave Face (Which Looks Much Like All Her Other Faces)

So what did Paris Hilton do the day after being slapped with a 45-day jail sentence? Threw on a white dress and headed out to Prego Beverly Hills to have lunch with her mom. Really Paris, a white dress? Is that supposed to convey your "innocence"? Could you be a more transparently calculating phony-ass heap of zebra dung?

Kathy Hilton has clearly taken over handling Paris's public activities for now. It's her idea that they need to be seen out a lot, and show this united front against the world, which is obviously out to get them. Hmm - maybe if Kathy had taken this much interest in her daughter's activities before...but, nah, Paris had Elliot Mintz and everyone else to handle things for her. She was in good hands right? Oh, right - they told her she could drive when she wasn't supposed to. Gosh Paris, did it never occur to you that maybe Mintz had it in for you? That maybe telling you it was okay to drive, even when he knew it wasn't, was his little way of getting revenge for years of looking like a schmuck? Or, maybe Elliot Mintz really is just an incompetent buffoon. Or maybe - shock of shocks - Paris actually knew she couldn't drive but just didn't give a rip.

Kathy Hilton has been running around ripping judge Sauer, saying he made his mind up that Paris was going to jail even before the hearing. But come on Kathy - it wasn't some cockamamie conspiracy that got your sweet little angel thrown in the clink, it was your own arrogance and that of your spawn. Sauer saw through Paris, and Mintz, and you, and your whole little high-society cabal - he saw the entitlement, and the smug disregard for the law. He gave Paris the 45 days because, not being an idiot, he knew she was perfectly aware of her driving status. Paris isn't going to jail because of some plot Kathy - she's going to jail because you raised her to think she could do anything she wants and get away with it. Yes, this experience will probably not teach her anything. And no, it will not teach you anything either Kathy, or change the fact that you're rich and the rest of us aren't. But, just knowing how humiliated you're going to feel, Kathy, when Paris is in the slammer with all those common people - just that thought alone is going to uplift my soul, if only for a fleeting moment.

(And by the way, Marc Malkin of E! Online - so Paris is locking herself up in her house all weekend huh? Wow. You've got some great sources bud. What the fuck? I could come closer to the truth by painting a target on Seacrest's back and chucking poison-tipped darts at it.)
