Elliot Mintz lied for years on behalf of Paris Hilton, and was even willing to take the fall for her the other day at her hearing - and was justly rewarded this weekend by being fired.
I say "justly rewarded" because for Mintz, a loyal lackey to the end, there could be no better result than to be rid of these people once and for all. The Hiltons are snakes in the grass. For years, Mintz was paid well to slither with them. He was ultimately expendable however - and I'm certain that the worldly Mr. Mintz was under no illusions in this regard. Any more so than he was regarding the nature of his employers.
Meanwhile, Paris Hilton insists she has been unjustly worked over by the courts:
I feel that I was treated unfairly and that the sentence is both cruel and unwarranted. I don't deserve this.
"Unwarranted?" Paris's vocabulary would appear to be expanding. At least she's getting something out of this. And as to Paris's last sentence - "I don't deserve this." I'm sorry, Paris, but what frame-of-reference do you possess that makes you qualified to decide a thing like that? When have you ever participated in regular society to such a degree that you would've learned what was or was not a just punishment for whatever action? You speak not as a person with any societal awareness or even useful experience with legalities - in fact, you yourself confessed to judge Sauer what an oblivious individual you are when you promised to "pay more attention" to your affairs. And now you've become the arbiter of what one in your position does or does not deserve? You are speaking as a selfish brat Paris - an overgrown twelve-year-old, who has behaved all through this thing as one who expected to be let off if only she cried loudly enough, or whined in the proper tone of voice. But you've discovered, haven't you, you cretin, that the judge is not your father - he wasn't swayed by the emotional ploys you learned when you were five. The world of justice is not the world of inane socialites - you won't see judges letting people go because they stamp their feet, or hold their breath until they turn blue. In short, Paris, save your little prepared statements about what actions are unwarranted, and what you deserve. You haven't the faintest clue what, in the real world, is proper punishment for anything.
If I had my way, all self-absorbed snits like you would have their vocal cords confiscated, and kept someplace until such time as they demonstrated they had something worthwhile to utter. I dare say, Paris, that under those circumstances you would surely die a mute.
