Lindsay Flops as Hostess of World Music Awards - Literally

Lindsay Lohan haters of the world, prepare to spray your keyboards.

It got ugly yesterday for our little Lindsay at the World Music Awards in London, where the starlet was attempting to act as Mistress of Ceremonies. I say "attempting" because, in fact, she didn't complete the assignment. She only managed to get halfway through the gig before falling down a flight of stairs and injuring her finger.

But even before the tumble (jeez, Lindsay sure seems to have problems with her balance) things were not exactly going swimmingly for Lohan. Each time she took the stage to introduce another presenter she was greeted by a round of boos, and was said to be "visibly upset" about the derision.

It was while coming off-stage, in fact, that Lindsay had her little trip down the stairs. Ah, so things begin to come clear. They were booing Lindsay and she was upset about it. And she just happened to trip and fall down some stairs and hurt herself, so she couldn't go back on.

Right Linds. Falling down the stairs was an accident.

And her injury was so horrible that she couldn't continue with her job. Of course, she was well enough to make the parties afterward, wearing a little blue bandage around her finger:

We all know you're not the most professional little tart in the world Lindsay, but purposely injuring yourself because you're sick of being booed? That's pathetic.

And to anyone else who might be considering hiring someone of Lindsay's ilk to host an awards show - might want to think twice about that one. I mean, beyond the costume changes, and the ever-present prospect of a beaver-flash, what does a person like Lindsay really have to offer?

I hope we've all learned a lesson from this: Awards shows are no laughing matters. It requires real skill to host one. And talent. And enough resilience to not go crying to mommy just cause they boo you.
